Today the Tampa Bay Lightning made a large trade with the Ducks. The center of this trade was goaltender Thibault. The Lightning received the 27 year old along with offensive dman Sandis Ozolinsh and power play quarterback Darryl Sydor. Sydor has yet to score but has 29 assists this season. In return the Ducks receive struggling goalie Tommy Salo who has allowed 15 goals in his last three games but is determined to bounce back to champion form. The Ducks also get youngster Lilja and veteran dman Eric Desjardins and a 3rd round pick in this years draft. This is what GM Gulbransen had to say about the deal, "I am very pleased with the acquisition of Thibault, Sydor and Ozolinsh. Thibault and Roloson will form an amazing 1-2 and Ozo and Sydor will add more offence to our team. If Ozo doesn't produce and we start to lose, look for him to be moved for another top dman."
